BEST FIRST FEATURE AWARD 2007 CINEQUEST SAN JOSE FILM FESTIVAL |
A recently homeless and jobless loser, a senior citizen estranged from her family, a mother of one dealing with her husband's brain damage, a gas station owner stuck in a job he hates, and a youth pastor feeling irrelevant face depression and loneliness on Christmas Eve. As they cross paths and experience random and minor acts of kindness, their lives are changed forever.
Dallas Jenkins started Jenkins Entertainment with his father, Jerry B. Jenkins from Kalamazoo, at the age of 25. Within a year, they developed, financed, and produced the feature Hometown Legend, which was picked up for distribution by Warner Brothers. Dallas has since directed two short films, including Midnight Clear, which won several festival awards. Dallas made his directing debut with the short film ClichÈ, which FilmThreat.com called "Fast and funny...ingenious," and his latest short film, Midnight Clear, starring Stephen Baldwin, won a Crystal Heart Award from the Heartland Film Festival and was the opening night selection of the San Diego Film Festival. He is the co-executive producer of Though None Go With Me, a feature that aired on The Hallmark Channel in April 2006.
