Everyone knows what it’s like to feel stuck, lost, and disappointed. We all have times when we struggle to accept who we are and can’t quite seem to embrace our lives and everything we have. This fun-loving comedy centers on old high school classmates, Lloyd and Teddy, who reconnect at their high school reunion and make a pact to recover their lost hopes and dreams - and to be awesome. Disillusioned and unable to move past their failures, Teddy and Lloyd have become, unequivocally, their own worst enemies. Being Awesome is the story of their struggle to turn things around and feel the kind of validation that we all need.
Allen Gardner Allen began writing, acting, and staging little plays at a very early age. His parents got their first video camera when Allen was seven years old. He'd always been enamored with movies and jumped at the chance to be able to make his own.
In January of 2000, Allen moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his acting and filmmaking careers. Allen has written over twenty feature-length screenplays and plays, including Act One, Daylight Fades and Gonnabes. Allen's very excited to have Being Awesome be his first film produced with his newly launched production company Open Dialogue Productions.
