BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE
2013 SLAMDANCE FILM FESTIVAL

Matt and Owen are best friends who live in a world of endless movie references and hi jinks. It would be perfect, if not for the cruel and insane bullies at their high school who make their lives hell. While working on a movie about their revenge, the lines between fiction and reality blur together. What was once a harmless fantasy takes the form of a real-life school shooting in this comedic and horrifying look at the devastating effects of high school bullying.

Matt Johnson
After attending film school at York University in Toronto, Canada he went on to create the web series Nirvana the Band the Show, which has since found it's place in the canon of low-budget, Canadian, buddycomedy web shows. He wrote and starred in Jared Raab's short film The Revenge Plot (2011), which won the RBC Audience Choice Award in the TIFF emerging filmmaker competition. His debut feature film The Dirties tackles the important social issue of bullying. It will have its World Premiere at SLAMDANCE in January 2013.

He is currently developing several projects including The Original a golf comedy in the tradition of the films of Hal Ashby and Operation Avalanche, a classified CIA movie.
