Margaret has always been a little... particular. But since being jilted by her fiancé, her obsessive-compulsive behaviors are in overdrive. The last thing she needs is company.
Showing up on her doorstep unannounced, Margaret's nomadic older sister Josephine (with ten-year-old daughter Hannah in tow) is initially an unwanted jolt to her carefully regulated life. But their playfulness eventually wins Margaret over and she begins to loosen her neurotic control on life.
However, when Margaret discovers the real reason for her sister's visit, she's forced to confront the betrayal... and the long suppressed grief at the root of her fastidious behaviors.

Nikki Braendlin
Nikki Braendlin is the manager of Aunt Kiki Productions, based in Los Angeles. She is also a member of Film Independent, an executive member of Women in Film and a mentor with Young Storytellers Foundation.
AS HIGH AS THE SKY is Nikki’s first film as a director. Her other screenplays have placed in several competitions, including those sponsored by Slamdance, the Austin Film Festival, the Page Awards and the Los Angeles International Women's Film Festival.
She recently produced the critically acclaimed play Machu Picchu, Texas (Critic’s Choice; LA TIMES, Pick of the Week; LA Weekly) by award-winning playwright Timothy McNeil and is currently adapting it for the screen.
Before becoming a screenwriter Nikki ran Hear Me Roar Productions, an all-women's theater company that produced theatrical benefits for women's and children's organizations. Through HMR and her work as a counselor, she also ran writing and acting workshops for at-risk teenaged girls and produced shows of their original works.
