Light Me Up, a film combining 3D animation, 2D animation, and live-action elements, revolves around the conflict between Louie, an odd flame-shaped bulb, and his parents when they ask him to take over the family business. Louie has dreams of his own and he must decide whether to chase or abandon those dreams.

Derek Dolechek
Derek Dolechek was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, and is a recent graduate of Chapman University's Digital Arts and Animation program. Light Me Up is his first animated short, and he is currently pursuing a career as a designer for the themed entertainment industry.
Ryan Walton
Born and raised in Colorado, Ryan developed a deep passion for filmmaking and storytelling at a young age. He attended Chapman University where he recieved dual BFAs in Film Production and Digital Arts. While in school, Walton interned at DreamWorks Animation where he had the privilege of interacting with some of the best minds in the animation industry. Ryan strives to take on projects that challenge him both creatively and emotionally. He is currently pursuing a career as a previsualization/layout artist for animation.
