A bittersweet family drama tracing one veteran's efforts to make amends for the destruction he caused during World War II. Lovelorn art school graduate Ross is still down in the dumps when his eighty three year old father announces plans for a family road trip to Germany. Back in the war, Ross' father accidentally bombed a small German town. He's regretted the mistake ever since, and now he's determined to visit the town and offer a formal apology. But getting to Germany won't be easy, because it's been years since father and son have exchanged a kind word. Born in Brighton, England, Paul originally studied Geography and worked on glaciers in Pakistan, before deciding to become a filmmaker. His short films found success premiering at Film Festivals such as Berlin (“Die Berliner Mauer”), Sundance (“Estes Avenue”), South by Southwest (“Odd Shoe”) & Palm Springs (“Last Hand Standing”), while his debut short, “Jeff Farnsworth” sold to HBO. Paul supports Manchester City, likes the colour blue & occasionally directs theatre in Chicago. Recent productions have included Donald Lewis’s “Good Girl” for the Bailiwick, Richard Dresser’s “Wonderful World” for the Infamous Commonwealth Theatre, and Neil Simon’s “Barefoot in the Park” for VPT in Chicago. He has written plays for BBC Radio and directed award winning commercials, including “Stupid”, an anti-smoking ad which is part of the permanent collection at MoMA in New York City. Bomber marks Paul’s feature debut as a writer/director.
