Daryl Hannah Scheduled to Attend Waterfront Film Festival

Saugatuck, Michigan, May 27, 2009 – FIERCE LIGHT will be one of the Gala Films on Friday night, June 12, at Waterfront Film Festival. Daryl Hannah will be attending the festival to showcase the Michigan Premiere of the film. This groundbreaking and visually stunning film takes us on a global journey in search of stories of spiritual activism. Compelling, uplifting and inspiring, the film is a poetic call to heartfelt action featuring interviews with spiritual activist Thich Nhat Hanh, Desmond Tutu, Daryl Hannah, Julia Butterfly Hill and more. 

Tickets are now on sale for the four-day event and the schedule is posted. Waterfront Film Festival kicks off the activities at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday night and will close Sunday evening with a 9 p.m. film. 

“This year promises to be another exciting venue, with people like Daryl Hannah in attendance we can’t help but have a wonderful festival”, said co-founder Kori Eldeen Rentz. “You will be able to see a variety of high caliber independent films and we look forward to introducing talented new directors and actors. We anticipate that people will be purchasing their tickets early and know that with our line-up this year that more passes will be sold”, said Kori. 

Many people, couples and families are looking for activities this year that are close to home, affordable and offer something different. Waterfront Film Festival , “Named One of the Ten Really Cool Things to Do” by The Chicago Sun Times, is worth coming to for the entire weekend.
